Mission Statement
The Building Industry Association of Okaloosa and Walton Counties is a professional organization of builders, developers, and associates affiliated with the Florida Home Builders Association (FHBA) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). The BIA serves the construction industry, communities and the government agencies in the area by; Providing information, education and resources, Providing leadership to unify the industry, Serving as the voice of the construction industry, Promoting home ownership, and Serving as a link for members between FHBA and NAHB.
About Us
Chartered in 1962, the Home Builders Association was formed to represent the building industry in both Okaloosa and Walton Counties. The name was later changed to the Building Industry Association of Okaloosa-Walton Counties, or BIAOW, to represent both residential and commercial companies in our area.
BIAOW is comprised of companies and individuals representing the construction industry. Our organization empowers our members through our governmental affairs efforts not only locally but through our state organization, FHBA, but also nationally through the NAHB.
Our organization meets monthly, whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or Happy Hour, networking is a key component of our group. We also hold many larger events throughout the year; Cornhole, Golf, Sporting Clay, Car Show and more.
